Use Smart Agenda to Navigate a Meeting

Smart Agenda turns a long meeting into an item-by-item workspace. Instead of scrubbing through hours of video, use the agenda to move directly to the discussion, summary, transcript, and documents connected to the item you care about.

Start with the agenda item

Open a covered meeting and use Smart Agenda to locate the agenda item or discussion topic you need. Each supported item is organized so the original meeting content and Grid Monitor's added intelligence stay connected.

Jump directly to the discussion

  1. Open the relevant agenda item.
  2. Use the associated clip or play control to jump to that portion of the archived video.
  3. Read the item summary for a quick explanation of what happened.
  4. Use the transcript when you need the speakers' statements in more detail.
  5. Open any attached documents or meeting materials for the underlying source.

Review summaries and key takeaways

Supported agenda items can include AI-generated summaries and key takeaways that explain the discussion, staff presentation, questions, motions, recommendations, votes, or decisions associated with that portion of the meeting.

Keep source material beside the discussion

When meeting materials are available, Smart Agenda can place the relevant documents next to the item so you can review a presentation, report, filing, or other source without leaving the meeting workflow.

If an agenda item is associated with a supported ERCOT or SPP control, PUCT project or docket, or Texas bill, use the Follow control to add the underlying item to your Following workspace.

When to use Smart Agenda vs. Meeting Summaries

Use Smart Agenda when you know the meeting and agenda item you need or when you want the source discussion and documents organized around the official agenda. Use Meeting Summaries when you want a fast, clip-based recap of the most important portions of the meeting.

Use the transcript for precision

AI summaries are intended to help you understand and navigate a meeting quickly. When exact wording, legal meaning, or full context matters, review the transcript, video, and source documents.

TIP: For long meetings, Smart Agenda is usually faster than searching the full recording from the beginning. Start with the item, then move into the clip, transcript, and documents only as deeply as you need.
